Bakesale Betty's is one of my favorite places to grab lunch on a Lazy Sunday. The lines can get pretty insane but luckily they seem to be pretty darn efficient in that kitchen because it moves along at a decent pace. It's one of those places that only does a few things but executes them extremely well. I am quite partial to their mayo-less cole slaw which comes with everything. I ordered a chicken salad (too lazy to deal with bread), while Kevin opted for their famous chicken sandwich. And to top it all off, the most scrumptous (love this word) strawberry shortcake ever!
If you've never been to Betty's don't look for any huge signs, the building is pretty non descript, just a small crowd of very happy people.
Worth the wait.
Love love love the fried chicken here. I don't know how to describe it but it tastes very clean to me. Is that weird? Although the chicken is fried it doesnt have the heaviness or general "friedness" of most fried chicken I've had.
